I’m Matteo. I don’t want to go on at length about my story, but there is something that worries me: how long a flatline lasts, and the lack of morning erections.
About two years ago my erection problems began. I went to a urologist; after tests he said everything was fine and referred me to a sexologist. For various reasons I went to a psychologist instead. He said I had homosexual obsessive-compulsive disorder and depressive states, and I was put on psychiatric medication. After a year of therapy the erection problem got smaller (though now I think it wasn’t thanks to the therapy, but because the psychologist persuaded me to leave the house more often, so I didn’t have time to sit alone in front of the computer).
After I finished university I moved to another city and was completely alone in a strange place. As you can guess, I went back to my “favourite” pastime. By the time I had almost completely lost my erections, I found out about quitting porn. It wasn’t easy at first. I slipped after three weeks, then after another three. Then a very strong flatline began. It’s hard to describe. I had huge bloody mood swings, dizziness and headaches. After a month practically all of it had passed and it seemed everything was getting back to normal, but I still had no morning erections. At least I think so, because for the last two weeks (probably from nerves) I’ve been waking up an hour before my alarm, so it’s hard for me to say for sure.
Unfortunately my girlfriend dumped me, and when I stumbled on a site full of half-naked girls, I decided to “cheer myself up”. Now I’m wiser for all these experiences and I know how to hold out, but I keep wondering roughly when, after slips like these, my morning erections will come back, how long the flatline can last, and whether there’s any chance it will end a bit sooner.
