I’m 26, I’ve been living with this problem for more than five years, and I’m in really deep (long all-night marathons, and a full erection that only shows up a moment before orgasm). Many times I tried to stop watching porn and masturbating, but I lacked the willpower and motivation.
About three months ago, motivation appeared in the form of a woman. On our first night together I opened up to her about it; she was very understanding and wasn’t bothered by the subject at all. To my surprise, I got an erection and we had sex. It wasn’t very good or passionate, but still.
And from that night on: zero porn, zero masturbation. But that was just the nice beginning of something bad. The limpness came back very quickly. Of course I took care of my partner (she’s experienced and teaches me everything she likes): fingers, tongue and even a vibrator. Because I wanted to do better, I bought Viagra. It only helped at the beginning, and I still couldn’t last long enough to satisfy her. The stress of not being able to satisfy her did its part too. After a month she started stimulating me by hand and orally. We managed maybe two satisfying times, but in general I’m limp, and now that I’m feeling so low, the erection again only appears a moment before orgasm, and sometimes it doesn’t appear at all. The pills don’t help.
Taking a break from sex is pretty much out of the question; my partner is already almost climbing the walls. We’re going to see a sex therapist, and I’m also thinking about seeing a urologist.
The way I see it, the only ways out are either a properly done break from porn, or local treatment for impotence (pumps, injections).
